Stevenage Sea Cadets celebrated PO Lynn Jones' 21 years of dedication and commitment to the Cadet corps, following her last day as Officer in Charge recently.

The Cadets attended, immaculately presented in their 1s uniform and took great pride in their appearance for this special occasion. The evening was also attended by Stephen McPartland MP, TS Andromeda Association, past and present members of the Committee, past Cadets, parents and Former Lt. Commander Margaret Coats.

Stephen McPartland, Member of Parliament for Stevenage said , "The evening was a celebration, allowing us to say our farewells to Lynn. She has been at the heart of this amazing organisation and a huge influence on the many children who have been through Stevenage Sea Cadets. They do a fantastic job in our community, getting involved in fundraising and taking a leading role in annual community events. I look forward to continuing to work with them."

PO Jones was presented with flowers and boating vouchers from the Committee, Unit staff and Cadets then gave a farewell speech to all.
