Sign our petition for 3 hours free car parking to help regenerate Stevenage town centre.

I have launched a campaign to protect local people from Stevenage Borough Council's car parking rip off. Stevenage Borough Council is taking more than £3 million a year in car parking charges, which is preventing the regeneration of Stevenage town centre. What is shocking is over a million pounds is pure profit and I believe it is much higher, as Stevenage Borough Council claim it costs them almost £2 million to maintain the car parks, which no one believes. The Portas Review clearly showed that car parking charges were the biggest barrier to the regeneration of our town centres.

I am calling on Stevenage Borough Council to apologise and move forward by introducing 3 hours free parking so more local people can afford to shop locally. Stevenage is doing really well and we can get a refurbished town centre if Stevenage Borough Council stops ripping off local people.
