Stephen McPartland MP, was invited to open Age Concern Stevenage's Christmas Coffee Morning and met some of those using the services and a number of the volunteers.
Stephen McPartland MP said, "I was delighted to accept the invitation from Ken Moore, Chairman of Age Concern Stevenage. The staff and volunteers make a big difference to many local people and I have supported the work they do for a number of years. I always enjoy chatting to local people and hearing their stories over a cup of tea. It is clear Age Concern do a great job and are really valued in our community."
Age Concern Stevenage is now based on the 5th floor of Swingate House and offers a wide range of free and confidential information and help which is available for older people. There are regular visits from a range of specialist advisors and outreach advice workers.
