The staff at Stevenage branch of Barclays Bank held a Christmas Fayre with a difference by inviting small businesses locally into the branch and also raising £550 for selected charities including the Lister Hospital Magic of Play appeal.
Stephen McPartland, Member of Parliament for Stevenage, said "I was delighted to be invited to help celebrate the contribution made by small business locally and raise money for Lister Hospital Children's Ward. The staff at Barclays really get involved in the community and the pop up shops that were in Branch were fantastic. I managed to get a few bits for my Christmas shopping as well as supporting a great cause."
Charlotte Oliver, Market Leader for Barclays Bank said, "Our Community Bankers are passionate about being a force for good in Stevenage and this has lead us to organise this event to support local small businesses and several charities today."
