Stevenage MP, Stephen McPartland, joined volunteers from TalkTalk, based on Lytton Way, as they painted the function room in the Oval Community Centre, which is used for local sports and social events.
Stephen commented,"The TalkTalk team did all the hard work and I was delighted to thank them for their huge contribution. It means so much to the Oval Community Centre and will make such a difference to all the local groups that use the facility. Giving something back is a great initiative and I am proud of the team at TalkTalk for getting involved so enthusiastically. The community spirit we have locally is amazing and this is another fantastic example of local people giving something back to their community."
The re-decoration work was part of TalkTalk’s ‘Give Something Back’ initiative. This year over 50 staff volunteered to lend a hand to several local projects that support the community and Hilary Buttigieg from the company said, ”We’re committed to making Britain better off, and have long believed that as a local employer it’s important give something back to the local community.”
