Stephen McPartland, Member of Parliament for Stevenage, was pleased to be able to hand over a cheque for £6,500 to the Garden House Hospice at the offices of local chartered accountancy firm Wagstaffs following their successful skydive challenge.
Stephen McPartland MP said, “This is a brilliant achievement and really shows the community spirit we have in our town. The Garden House Hospice is an amazing charity I am proud to support. I am just so sorry I could not take part in the skydive.”
Mark Hubbocks, partner at Wagstaffs, said, "It is not often that you get to do something exhilarating that will fuel adrenaline and leave you with a memory that lasts a lifetime. Add the fact that a closely bonded group have raised over £6,000 for charity and that money really makes a difference, that makes the whole thing very special indeed.
"I would encourage as many local businesses to consider doing something similar as we all have a part to play in supporting the community that supports our respective businesses."
