Kishor said, "Our Nisa Local stores are placed in the heart of the local communities, our great team of staff strive to deliver the local daily needs of our customers, and we are pleased and grateful that the communities recgonise the point of difference the local independent stores provide and they continue to support us, Nisa Local at the Glebe is just one of many shining examples."

Misha, 20, Kishor's daughter, got her chance to carry the torch by being nominated as one of two "exceptional individuals" by Independent Retail News as part of Coca-Cola's Future Flames campaign. Separately from the Coca-Cola nominations, Gary Bilbrough, manager of another Nisa store in the group run by Kishor applied and was selected to carry the torch. “We are a very community-focused store and Kishor Patel organised a coach for our customers to come and see me run,” said Gary.
