Fujitsu is one of the country’s largest companies, touching the lives of 99% of the UK population – from enabling airline bookings and driving licences through to banking transactions, high street shopping. The team in Stevenage plays an important part in all of this and Fujitsu takes very seriously its role in developing the area’s future skills base.
Hosting the visit was Simon Carter, marketing director for Fujitsu’s UK Government Division. Simon commented, “We place a high priority on young people, and in particular on increasing their IT literacy, and our new Apprenticeship pilot is a fantastic way to demonstrate this in practice.”
