Rt Hon Stephen McPartland MP
Working hard for you
in Stevenage, Knebworth, Codicote, Datchworth and Aston

"The tragic events in Manchester have touched us all and I spoke at a vigil in Stevenage last night to show we stand together in the face of such evil. The many courageous acts of kindness and support by people involved in this tragic incident underlines the fact we will never allow terrorism to win.

"The General Election campaign was rightly suspended out of respect to those families affected and it has now resumed on a low key level. The tone of the campaign will of course change and this weekend we will not hold our high visibility street stalls in the town centre. We are postponing them to the final weekend of 2nd and 3rd June.

“The stalls provide everyone with the opportunity to come and talk directly to me and hundreds do every Saturday and Sunday. However, I am still available and out and about, so do please say hello or email me on This email address is being protected from spambots. "Our poster team will continue to undertake site maintenance and we will be focusing on delivering the next leaflet to all 40,000 homes in the constituency. This is a difficult time for all of us and now more than ever we must pull together to ensure all parties get our message delivered directly to voters."
