Datchworth-raised Bradley said: "My grandmother lived with Alzheimer’s, so I understand the affect it can have on the whole family. The Alzheimer’s Society does so much to support people with dementia and their carers in Hertfordshire. That’s why I’m encouraging residents to sign up and take part in Memory Walk. Everyone is walking with one common goal: fighting dementia, and I want to play my part in that too."
Memory Walk 2012 is being held in partnership with Bupa Care Homes. This year, Alzheimer’s Society is encouraging people to go the extra mile and take part in Bupa’s ‘Memory Mile’ at the end of the walk to raise a further £5 to support people with dementia. Participants have a choice of a short accessible 2km stroll or a more challenging 10km walk. Both will meander around the sparkling lakes where a range of wildlife and birds can be spotted. To register for Memory Walk visit memorywalk.org.uk
