Stevenage MP Stephen McPartland joined local police in a major operation involving around 80 police officers to clamp down on illegal drug dealing. A series of raids were carried out on targeted addresses in Stevenage following months of preparation and collection of intelligence by the police.
Stephen said, “These type of operations reassure the community that Stevenage is a safe place to live. The police know where the criminals are and they know what they are doing. Operations like this show that they are coming for these criminals and will remove them from the local community so we are all safer.”
He added, “The police are working hard and fully understand the impact drug dealers have on the wider community. We are sending a clear and united message that dealing drugs in Stevenage is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.”
