Pupils took part in a range of interactive workshops designed to get decision makers in their local area to Listen Up! about how asthma can affect young people. Students had the opportunity to gain a range of new skills including public speaking. The day concluded with the delegates building a campaign to put their new skills into practice with prizes awarded for the best campaign.

Neil Churchill, Chief Executive of Asthma UK said: ‘Empowering our next generation of ambassadors is very important for Asthma UK. As a patient-led charity, it’s essential that we give young people the skills and knowledge to speak up for themselves and make the case for better services for people with asthma. I hope that our young people will inspire MPs to take action on their behalf.’
