Pupils from Almond Hill School invited Stevenage MP Stephen McPartland to look around their school, and spend some time with the school government, led by Maddie and Evie.
Stephen McPartland MP said, “It was fantastic to meet the School Government and I was very impressed with the range of questions they asked. The tour of the school really illustrated the sense of enthusiasm in pupils and staff.”
Maddie and Evie ( Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister) greeted Stephen and showed him around the school. They reported, "We started off in year 3 and 3J were lucky enough to ask multiple questions which Mr McPartland answered. On the way down to year 4 we showed him our wonderful work on the book 'Journey'. 5S asked lots of questions, encouraged by their teacher, Miss Simmons. After this, we looked around year 6 and the rest of the government joined us for a meeting. We told him about how we were elected, what we do and then we all asked questions that had been collected from the rest of the children."
