Chrissy Cass and her team of volunteers at Christ The King church in Symonds Green are now in their 9th year of holding a coffee morning in support of Macmillan. Stephen McPartland, Member of Parliament for Stevenage, has been pleased to support Chrissy from the start, and this year a record £1,590.65 was raised.

Stephen McPartland MP said: "It was a real pleasure to attend this Macmillan Coffee morning. It is one I do every year and I would like to thank all the volunteers who made it happen, as well as those who came along to support the event."

Chrissy Cass said, "I would like to thank the devoted team of volunteers, I could not have made the day a success without them. It was great to see so many people from the community come down and give so generously, including the continued support from our MP Stephen McPartland."
