Stephen McPartland, Member of Parliament for Stevenage, said “I am proud of our NHS and delighted the Conservative Government is investing another £20 billion a year. This is almost £400 million a week extra for more doctors, nurses and an NHS fit for the future.
“I am delighted NHS unions are supporting the Government’s 3 year NHS pay deal meaning over 1,000,000 NHS staff will receive a pay rise. It means a newly qualified nurse will see their pay rise by over £2,500, whilst staff on the lowest grades like hospital caterers, porters and administrators will receive a wage increase of more than £2,000 this year.
“I will keep campaigning to make sure our local NHS has the staff and facilities it needs to continue to provide top quality care for everyone.”
