Stephen McPartland, Member of Parliament for Stevenage, topped out Park Place, a £50 million residential and retail development located in Stevenage town centre. The official launch of Park Place marks a giant step forward and gives a glimpse of what a future town centre regeneration could look like.
Stephen McPartland MP, said, "Park Place marks another important step forward in the regeneration of Stevenage town centre. The £50 million development demonstrates the confidence that investors have in the future of our town and shows what can happen if the Council get out of the way, so we can get on with it.
“It comes on top of the over £300m worth of infrastructure investment I have secured from the government for our schools, hospital, housing and jobs in Stevenage and the surrounding villages.”
The development is the brainchild of local businessman, Ajaz Ahmed. Ajaz, managing partner of MBU Capital, the property developer and leading investment management firm behind the scheme, who commented, “We have designed Park Place to celebrate the town’s rich past whilst creating a new destination.
"Park Place is set to unlock an exciting new future in Stevenage."
Park Place brings much needed investment into the heart of Stevenage town centre. The development is ground-breaking in its design, with high-quality retail and 200 new homes available with the government's 'Help-to-Buy' scheme.
