Stephen McPartland MP joined Miles Baron, CEO of The Bingo Association, who lives in the Stevenage area, to present a £250,000 donation from bingo players and clubs nationwide to Variety, the children's charity.
Stephen McPartland, MP for Stevenage, said, “Having recently visited Mecca Bingo Club in Stevenage, it was great to see their support for Variety, the children’s charity. The CEO of the Bingo Association lives locally and is committed to ensuring Bingo remains a safe and socially responsible leisure activity."
Miles Baron, CEO of the Bingo Association, said, “For the second year in a row bingo clubs have raised over £250,000 for Variety, the children’s charity. The bingo industry is a social activity rooted in the heart of local communities.”
