Local people may have money owed to them by their previous energy supplier and Stephen McPartland, Member of Parliament for Stevenage, is backing the My Energy Credit campaign to help them claim a repayment.
Stephen McPartland MP said, "It is clear that some local people are owed money by their previous energy supplier. Customers are often in credit when they have moved address or switched energy supplier and repayments are averaging about £50. The My Energy Credit campaign is raising awareness and making it easier for people to check whether they are owed money or not, which I am happy to support."
The UK’s major energy suppliers: British Gas, EDF Energy, E.ON, Npower, SSE and Scottish Power, are all participating in the My Energy Credit campaign and customers can claim credit repayments through the website www.myenergycredit.com. Alternatively, customers can call the My Energy Credit helpline: 0370 737 7770 or write to My Energy Credit freepost address: Freepost RTHL-ZYBU-KBCC My Energy Credit, 47 Aylesbury Road, Thame, OX9 3PG
